Some things I believe in life

May 13, 2026

These keep changing. Some of them are borrowed and some are self-learnt.

  1. Consistent hard work is the key. You can't always look for new motivation. Consistency is the only solution. Consistency -> progress -> results.
  2. You cannot always predict the second order effects of the work that you do. You cannot also be 100% sure if these will ever happen to you. So, these second order effects should never be your primary motivation to do something.
  3. Opportunities are very very important. So make the most of them.
  4. Build distribution.
  5. It's always time vs money.
  6. Always believe in long-term game.
  7. Communication is key and is very important both personally and professionally.
  8. Be a generalist and hence comprehensivist.
  9. Learn as many skills as possible when you are young.
  10. Always make sure you are adding value in everything you do, because that's what runs the world.
  11. Unlearning is tough, so make sure you learn it correctly in the first go.
  12. Be optimistic in general, but be skeptical about the specifics.
  13. I think we overestimate how much work can be done in a day and underestimate how much can be accomplished in a year. Days are longer but the years are shorter.
  14. Be kind, humble and have empathy. Empathy is the highest form of knowledge.
