Some things I believe in life
May 13, 2026
These keep changing. Some of them are borrowed and some are self-learnt.
- Consistent hard work is the key. You can't always look for new motivation. Consistency is the only solution. Consistency -> progress -> results.
- You cannot always predict the second order effects of the work that you do. You cannot also be 100% sure if these will ever happen to you. So, these second order effects should never be your primary motivation to do something.
- Opportunities are very very important. So make the most of them.
- Build distribution.
- It's always time vs money.
- Always believe in long-term game.
- Communication is key and is very important both personally and professionally.
- Be a generalist and hence comprehensivist.
- Learn as many skills as possible when you are young.
- Always make sure you are adding value in everything you do, because that's what runs the world.
- Unlearning is tough, so make sure you learn it correctly in the first go.
- Be optimistic in general, but be skeptical about the specifics.
- I think we overestimate how much work can be done in a day and underestimate how much can be accomplished in a year. Days are longer but the years are shorter.
- Be kind, humble and have empathy. Empathy is the highest form of knowledge.
